With 332 listings available, you have a modest pool to compare before deciding whether a given car is priced fairly.

Is the 2015 Dodge Dart a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Dodge Dart earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its sporty feel, comfortable interior, and fuel efficiency, and many also like the handling and overall performance. The expert notes also describe it as built on a solid platform, which supports the sense that it’s a car you can count on for everyday use. At the same time, some owners have mentioned transmission problems and electronic gremlins, so a careful used-car inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Dodge Dart?

At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or multiple owners. Focus on signs of uneven wear, electrical quirks, and any evidence that the car has been repaired after a collision. If you’re comparing several examples, condition should matter more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE is the base trim and gets the simplest setup, while the SXT adds the 2.4-liter engine, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and cruise control. The Aero is the high-mileage choice with the 1.4-liter turbo engine, and the Limited adds convenience features such as the 8-inch touchscreen, power seats, 17-inch wheels, and a 7-inch multifunction display. The GT is the performance-oriented trim with a tuned suspension, revised engine calibration, black front fascia, 18-inch wheels, and Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder in the SE, a 1.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder in the Aero, and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder in the SXT, GT, and Limited. The turbo engine can top 40 mpg on the highway when driven carefully, while the 2.4-liter is the strongest and most fun of the group.
• Safety package: The Dart comes standard with driver and passenger airbags, including knee airbags, plus antilock brakes, child seat latches, electronic stability control, and traction control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features are available on Limited and GT trims.
• Infotainment: The Dart offers a 7-inch multifunction display in higher trims and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen in pricier Aero, GT, and Limited models. The SE gets only 4 speakers, while most other trims get 6 speakers.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.4-liter turbo can deliver more than 40 mpg on the highway, the 2.0-liter manages well into the 30-mpg range on the highway, and the 2.4-liter reaches the mid-30s on the highway and low-20s in the city.

Which 2015 Dodge Dart trim should I buy?

The 2015 Dodge Dart is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SXT, Aero, Limited, GT.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the least expensive way into the Dart, but it’s also the most basic. You get the 2.0-liter engine, manual transmission, a CD player, 16-inch steel wheels, and a USB port, so it makes sense if your priority is keeping the purchase price down.
• SXT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the stronger 2.4-liter engine, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and cruise control. It also serves as the foundation for the Blacktop appearance package, which gives it a little more style without pushing you into the pricier trims.
• Aero: Choose this if fuel economy matters most. It’s the only trim with the 1.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder, and it’s aimed at drivers who want the most mileage-focused version of the Dart.
• Limited: This is the comfort-and-tech upgrade. It adds the 8-inch touchscreen, power seats, 17-inch wheels, and the 7-inch multifunction display, making it the right pick if you want the Dart to feel more upscale.
• GT: This is the performance trim, with a tuned suspension, revised engine calibration, black front fascia, 18-inch wheels, and Nappa leather. It’s the one to buy if you want the most expressive version of the Dart.

The safety suite with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features is available only on Limited and GT trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Dodge Dart?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with patience and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 332 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $6,638, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Dodge Dart's resale value?

The current average of $6,770 sits slightly below last year's $6,806.

That small decline suggests the Dart is holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that usually means you should expect a market that rewards clean condition, strong equipment, and a good service history more than simple age alone. Because the price range is relatively tight, a well-kept example can still stand out to buyers who want a roomy compact with personality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Dodge Dart safe?

The Dodge Dart received five-star ratings from NHTSA overall and mostly Good ratings from IIHS, though it earned only an Acceptable rating in the small-overlap crash test and four-star ratings in rollover crashes.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Dart comes standard with driver and passenger airbags, including knee airbags, plus antilock brakes, child seat latches, electronic stability control, and traction control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features are available as an option on Limited and GT trims. The small-overlap result is the main caveat to keep in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Dodge Dart or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 adds a Blacktop appearance package to SXT trims and keeps the Dart’s roomy, value-focused formula intact.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $6,744, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $6,770 average.
• It emphasizes stronger safety and a more polished infotainment highlight.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $7,202, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $6,770 average.
• It leans harder into big-car practicality and value.

The bottom line: If you want the Dart’s roomy cabin, lively personality, and steady pricing, the 2015 is the sensible default. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2014 is the cheaper path, while the 2016 makes sense only if you’re willing to pay more for the later-year version.
