Used 2015 Chevrolet Impala for Sale near New Mexico

How much does the 2015 Chevrolet Impala cost?

Prices have softened 6.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 553 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Chevrolet Impala earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, stylish design, reliability, and comfort. That lines up well with the Impala’s role as a full-size family sedan that emphasizes space and easygoing road manners. If you want a comfortable daily driver with a polished feel and strong long-term appeal, this model year fits that use case well.

Only 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may not linger long.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, comfort, and a favored choice for long-term ownership. The expert drive notes also describe the Impala as predictable and consistent, which supports the impression that it’s easy to live with over time. The cost-effectiveness notes add that quality and reliability are slightly better than average, while long-term ownership costs are predicted to be average.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright dependability and more about finding a well-kept example with clean maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Chevrolet Impala?

At 52.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a collision or shows uneven panel gaps, tire wear, or suspension noise. Focus on the condition of the cabin electronics, visibility-related wear, and any signs that the car has been used hard in city driving or on rough roads.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard engine is a 4-cylinder, while the V6 requires moving up to the 2LT or 2LTZ trim level. The more expensive trims also bring a more upscale feel and larger wheels, while the lower trim is the value play if you can live without the V6.
• Powertrain: The available 3.6-liter V6 makes 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, and it’s paired with a 6-speed automatic. The car is front-drive, and the V6 is the better choice if you want stronger passing power.
• Safety package: The Advanced Safety Package includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward-collision warning. The most expensive version can also be paired with adaptive cruise control and front automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The MyLink system supports OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Pandora Internet radio, text-message readout, and three USB ports. It also includes a 3-prong electrical outlet and a secure storage area behind the display screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says to expect between 18 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, depending on configuration. The expert drive also recorded 21.7 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Chevrolet Impala trim should I buy?

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala is offered in 3 trim levels: LS, 2LT, 2LTZ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the lowest purchase price and can live with the standard 4-cylinder engine. It makes the Impala’s space and comfort more accessible, but you give up the V6 upgrade that makes the car feel more confident.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim because it unlocks the satisfying V6 and adds the stronger all-around driving experience most shoppers will want. If you want the Impala to feel properly sized and more rewarding on the highway, this is the trim to target.
• 2LTZ: This is the top trim for shoppers who want the most upscale version of the Impala and are willing to pay for it. It’s also the trim tied to the most advanced safety setup, including the optional adaptive cruise control system with front automatic braking.

The safety package is available on other versions of the Impala, but the most advanced front crash prevention setup requires the 2LTZ.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Chevrolet Impala?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 553 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,523, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $10,861 sits slightly below last year's $11,609.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Clean history and strong presentation matter more when the broader market is already softening.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala safe?

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Good rating in the moderate overlap frontal impact and side impact tests from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Impala comes with 10 airbags, and Chevrolet offers an Advanced Safety Package with blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward-collision warning. The most expensive version can also be equipped with adaptive cruise control and front automatic braking. One caveat is that the front crash prevention system with automatic braking is tied to the 2LTZ and its optional setup.

Should I buy a 2015 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a smooth ride, roomy cabin, and strong tech features in a full-size sedan package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,948, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,861 average.
• It emphasizes attractive styling and a more upscale-feeling cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around package, the 2015 is the better target because it pairs solid value with strong owner satisfaction and a favorable price trend. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Impala’s core strengths.
