How much does the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

There are 908 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Generally — the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado earns 4.25/5 from owners and 8.5/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

Drivers consistently praise its strong V6 engine, comfortable ride, and versatility. The Colorado also stands out for balancing family-friendly space with pickup utility, and it fits buyers who want a more manageable, more affordable truck without giving up everyday usefulness.

That combination lines up with the Colorado’s midsize-truck mission: you get modern styling, useful technology, and a smaller footprint than a full-size pickup. 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. Drivers also describe it as versatile and dependable, with the kind of everyday usability that helps a truck feel easy to count on over time.

The expert review reinforces that impression by emphasizing the Colorado’s smooth, well-mannered ride and its easy-to-live-with driving character. The ownership picture is helped by the included scheduled maintenance coverage, which can reduce early upkeep costs.

Used buyers should still pay close attention to reported transmission concerns and verify service history before committing, since long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking condition carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Chevrolet Colorado?

At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on trucks, since you want to check for wear from towing, hauling, and daily use. Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base trim is the bargain entry point, but it is limited to an Extended cab, a long box, rear-wheel drive, a manual transmission, and the 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The LT adds comfort and convenience features, while the Z71 brings more utility-oriented equipment and a more fully loaded feel.
• Powertrain: You can shop the 2.5-liter four-cylinder or the optional 3.6-liter V6. The V6 is described as strong, quiet, and capable, and it pairs with the Colorado’s easy highway manners and solid towing ability.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, StabiliTrak stability control with traction control, airbags including side head curtains, and a rear-vision camera. Forward-collision alert and lane-departure warnings are available, and OnStar adds automatic crash response, stolen-vehicle assistance, and roadside assistance.
• Infotainment: The LT brings Chevrolet MyLink with an 8-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and OnStar 4G LTE capability. The system also supports SiriusXM, Siri Eyes Free, text messaging, and a built-in mobile hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 tester returned 17 mpg city/24 highway/20 combined, and the review also cites 27 mpg highway for 2.5-liter RWD models and 26 mpg highway for 3.6-liter RWD models.

Which 2015 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, WT, LT, and Z71.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic configuration. It includes the core safety and convenience equipment, but it is also the most limited in body style, drivetrain, and transmission choice.
• WT: This trim is the practical step up if you want more flexibility in configuration and the optional V6. It makes sense for buyers who want a work-focused truck without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the biggest everyday upgrades, including the 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, OnStar connectivity, and more comfort features. If you want the Colorado to feel modern and well equipped, this is the one to target.
• Z71: This is the most feature-rich trim, adding the off-road suspension package, locking rear differential, hill descent control, recovery hooks, remote start, and more upscale convenience touches. It suits you best if you want the most capable and fully loaded Colorado.

The safety package includes a standard rear-vision camera, while forward-collision alert and lane-departure warnings are available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop with confidence but still compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 908 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,585, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $16,120 sits slightly below last year's $17,036.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale expectations should be grounded in today’s market rather than last year’s higher levels. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter a lot, especially because buyers will compare your truck against a fairly broad pool of listings.

The Colorado’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, and that can make it easier to resell than a truck with weaker reviews. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment should hold their appeal better than rougher, higher-mileage trucks.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado had yet to be rated by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) at the time of this review, so crash test ratings were unavailable.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, StabiliTrak stability control with traction control, airbags including side head curtains, and a standard rear-vision camera. Available forward-collision alert and lane-departure warnings add extra protection, and OnStar brings automatic crash response, stolen-vehicle assistance, and roadside assistance.

Should I buy a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It returns after a 3-year hiatus with modern styling, strong technology, and award-winning appeal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,226, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $16,120 average.
• It adds a diesel engine for buyers who want a different efficiency-and-capability mix.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and the truck already delivers the core Colorado strengths. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2016 is worth a look for shoppers specifically interested in its diesel option.
