How much does the 2015 Cadillac CTS cost?

Prices have softened 3.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 300 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5. It earns an expert rating of 7/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the beautiful design, smooth ride, high-quality interior, and impressive technology. For you, that means the CTS fits best if you want a midsize luxury sport sedan with a more athletic edge and a distinctive personality rather than a generic commuter feel.

Only 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective even if the car itself has broad appeal.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that can feel dependable and trouble-free for many buyers, with praise centered on the overall driving experience and the sense of quality. At the same time, some owners mention reliability concerns, especially around the sunroof and engine performance.

The expert review also notes that Cadillac’s technology and ownership experience can affect how buyers perceive quality over time. For used shoppers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of expensive electronic or mechanical issues before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment that can be costly to fix. Focus on condition, electronics, and signs of wear that could point to deferred maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version misses some equipment that you may expect in a luxury sedan, including leather upholstery, a split-folding rear seat, a reversing camera, and decent wheels. Premium trim adds the Driver Assist Package, which brings more advanced safety technology.
• Powertrain: The Vsport uses a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 with an 8-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive, paddle shifters, and an electronic locking rear differential. It also includes Tour, Sport, Track, and Snow/Ice modes.
• Safety package: The Driver Awareness Package includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening.
• Infotainment: Cadillac’s CUE system is the main tech interface, and the review notes that it can be distracting compared with traditional knobs and buttons.
• Fuel efficiency: The Vsport returns an official 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test car averaged 17.8 mpg.

Which 2015 Cadillac CTS trim should I buy?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS is offered in 2 trim levels: Vsport and Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Vsport: This is the standout choice if you want the most compelling driving experience. The review says it delivers exceptional performance, strong brakes, an enhanced steering system, and a chassis that really comes alive when pushed hard. It’s the best-value trim for enthusiasts who care more about speed and handling than bargain pricing.
• Premium: This is the trim to target if you want the more advanced safety technology. It adds the Driver Assist Package, which brings adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and collision-preparation features.

The safety package is standard on all models except the base version, while the Driver Assist Package requires Premium trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 300 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,969, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Cadillac CTS's resale value?

The current average of $12,324 sits slightly below last year's $12,744.

That decline suggests the CTS has been under some pricing pressure, which can be a concern if you’re planning to sell in the near future. On the other hand, the softer market may help you buy at a more favorable entry point now. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value better than the average listing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS safe?

The Cadillac CTS earns a five-star overall rating from the federal government and a Good rating from the IIHS for tests against which it has been assessed.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac’s Driver Awareness Package is standard on all models except the base version, and it includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package, which requires Premium trim, adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening.

One caveat is that the CTS was not subjected to the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact crash test, so you should keep that in mind when comparing it with rivals.

Should I buy a 2015 Cadillac CTS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 CTS is a key step in Cadillac’s transformation, pairing sporty character with strong fundamentals.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,902, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,324 average.
• It adds a more refined, tech-savvy feel with key updates.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2015 is the smarter buy because prices are softer and inventory is still decent. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly newer version with a more contemporary feel, the 2016 is the cleaner upgrade path.

How does the 2015 Cadillac CTS compare to the 2015 BMW 3 Series?

Our experts score the 2015 Cadillac CTS 7/10 and the 2015 BMW 3 Series 7.5/10.

The CTS brings stronger standard power, a higher-end feel, and a more distinctive design, while the 3 Series undercuts it on price and offers better fuel economy. The Cadillac also has a higher average used price and fewer listings, so you may have to work harder to find the right example. If you want the more athletic luxury sedan with standout styling, the CTS makes a strong case; if you want the more efficient and more plentiful choice, the BMW is the easier shopper’s pick.
