How much does the 2015 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 5.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 911 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the entertaining ride quality, robust power, and luxurious interior, and they also like the performance and features across different driving modes. The overview also frames it as a refined daily driver with a premium cabin and a strong feature set, which fits well if you want a midsize luxury sedan with comfort and driving character. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliability concerns, including shaking and smoke during startup, even though many drivers still describe the car as enjoyable and well-equipped. That means you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, startup behavior, and any evidence of shaking or smoke, since those are the kinds of issues that can affect ownership confidence.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 911 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,052, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $11,108 sits slightly below last year's $11,730.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For you, that means the best resale outcome will likely come from choosing a clean, well-kept example and avoiding overpaying today. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a strong choice if you want a well-priced, well-liked luxury sedan and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2015 gives you a good mix of value, inventory depth, and owner approval.
