Used 2014 Toyota Tacoma for Sale near Colorado

How much does the 2014 Toyota Tacoma cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,125 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its reliability, power, and resale value, and many also like its solid handling and safety features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize truck that balances daily drivability with utility and off-road capability. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, dependable, and a truck they can count on over the long haul. The recurring praise for durability and trouble-free ownership lines up with its reputation for lasting value. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a truck that may have seen hard use, so condition matters as much as reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Tacoma?

At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and inconsistent mileage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used off-road or for towing. Focus on overall condition, including signs of wear in the interior, suspension, and bodywork, because those details can tell you more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Tacoma?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,125 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,483, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $19,284 sits slightly above last year's $19,115.

That kind of stability suggests the Tacoma continues to hold value well, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A market that stays near last year’s level usually signals steady buyer interest rather than sharp depreciation. If you buy carefully and keep the truck in good condition, you’re more likely to preserve a strong share of your purchase price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $20,275, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $19,284 average.
• It adds a limited-production TRD Pro trim focused on off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing is steadier and the market is still active. If you’re willing to pay more for a later-year truck with a more off-road-focused setup, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
