How much does the 2014 Toyota Prius cost?

Prices are up 1.90% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 771 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2014 Toyota Prius a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Toyota Prius earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its great gas mileage, comfort, and spaciousness, and many also value its reliability and overall value for money. That makes it a practical fit if you want a commuter-friendly hybrid that can also work well for deliveries or everyday driving. With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Toyota Prius reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, with many drivers describing it as a dependable choice that they can count on for commuting and daily use. That kind of praise matters for used buyers because it suggests the car has a reputation for trouble-free ownership over the long term. For you, that lowers the odds of unpleasant surprises if the specific vehicle has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Prius?

At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, repair quality, and any signs of uneven wear or poor repairs. Because this model is often chosen for practical daily use, you should also pay close attention to overall condition and maintenance records rather than price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Prius?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 771 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.90% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 52.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,950, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Prius's resale value?

The current average of $11,148 sits slightly above last year's $10,940.

That modest increase suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy carefully. If prices continue to hold near this level, a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position when it’s time to sell. Strong demand for efficient, practical hybrids also helps keep attention on the Prius in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Prius or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.90% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,604, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,148 average.
• It adds a more polished rear-view styling update.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for the next model year, the 2015 is the secondary path for buyers who want a newer option and can stretch their budget.
