How much does the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 2.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,020 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfort, snow performance, and user-friendly features like navigation and AWD. It also fits well if you want a small crossover that is easy to live with for road trips and urban driving. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a value-oriented example.

Is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value its all-weather capability and practical day-to-day use. The Crosstrek’s straightforward design also supports the sense that it can be a vehicle you count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s basic formula and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been compromised by prior damage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and anything that suggests the car may have been in a collision or had a salvage title. Focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence, since those factors matter a lot when you’re narrowing down used examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,020 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,236, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $10,310 sits slightly below last year's $10,594.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re thinking about future resale, the current trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you don’t overpay upfront. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a practical, all-weather crossover with a strong reputation for everyday usefulness.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a practical, all-weather compact crossover and you find a clean, well-priced example with a solid history report. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it can still make sense to shop carefully within this year, but you should be extra selective about condition and prior damage before buying.
