How much does the 2014 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 7.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,224 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2014 RAM 1500 earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, and spacious interior, and many also like the comfort and features it offers for the price. That makes it a good fit if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined on the road while still delivering practical capability. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of attractive options to consider.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a solid truck with great value, and many drivers describe it as dependable in everyday use. At the same time, some owners mention gas mileage concerns and mechanical issues, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and current condition. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify how the truck was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 RAM 1500?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on mechanical condition, signs of prior bodywork, and any evidence of uneven wear or deferred maintenance. Because some owners mention mechanical issues, it is smart to prioritize trucks with clear service records and clean inspection results.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,224 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,485, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $14,485 sits slightly below last year's $15,600.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Trucks with cleaner histories and stronger presentation should hold buyer interest better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,768, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,485 average.
• It adds a stronger overall chassis and broader cabin appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2014 if you want the lower entry price and a truck with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want a slightly newer alternative with broader appeal, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
