How much does the 2014 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 5.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,184 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2014 RAM 1500 earns a 4.51/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, and spacious interior, and many also value the comfort and features it offers for the money. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined than a typical work truck while still delivering practical capability. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.51/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a truck that many drivers find solid and dependable in everyday use, with praise centered on comfort, value, and overall satisfaction. At the same time, some owners mention gas mileage concerns and mechanical issues, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as important parts of the buying decision. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify how the truck was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 RAM 1500?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and repeated damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on signs of wear that could affect reliability, drivability, and long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,763, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $14,763 sits slightly below last year's $15,646.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can work against you if you buy high and sell soon after. If you plan to own the truck for several years, the lower entry price may help offset future depreciation. Strong condition and a clean history will matter more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.51/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.51/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,919, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,763 average.
• It adds a broader cabin range and a more compelling overall chassis.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer alternative with a more polished overall package, the 2015 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2014 remains the more compelling buy as long as you verify history and condition carefully.
