How much does the 2014 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 7.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,117 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, and spacious interior, and many also value the features and comforts it offers for the price. The overview also shows why it fits a wide range of shoppers: you can use it as a basic work truck or a more upscale daily driver. With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its solid value, comfort, and overall usefulness over time. Some drivers do mention gas mileage and a few mechanical issues, so you should still approach any used example with a careful inspection. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a truck that has been maintained inconsistently or has unresolved wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 RAM 1500?

At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on trucks with higher mileage or signs of heavy use. Focus your condition check on maintenance records, drivetrain behavior, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,117 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,366, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $14,366 sits slightly below last year's $15,564.

That price movement suggests the truck has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale gains may be harder to realize unless the truck is especially clean, well maintained, and attractively equipped. Strong condition and documented care matter more when the broader market has already moved down.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,599, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,366 average.
• It adds a more polished chassis and broader appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and deal share is healthy. If you can stretch for a newer truck and want a more polished driving experience, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
