Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan Titan stands out as Nissan’s full-size truck with a straightforward, no-nonsense formula: a standard 5.6-liter V8, a quiet cabin, and accessible tech. It was also one of the trucks in its class to offer Bluetooth phone connectivity, air conditioning, and back-up cameras before those features were common. For buyers who want a used full-size pickup that feels a little more upscale than its work-truck roots suggest, that combination gives the Titan a clear identity.
What makes the 2014 model especially distinctive is how much utility Nissan built into the truck. The Titan offered the UtiliTrack-channel system and in-bed cargo boxes for better load management, and it had a decent reputation for reliability. It also came with a comfortable interior, which helped offset some of the truck’s rougher edges.
At the same time, the Titan had real drawbacks. Its configurability lagged behind rivals, and the truck was criticized for poor ride quality, a lack of configurability, and plasticky interior materials. The buying case for a 2014 Titan is therefore pretty specific: it appeals most to shoppers who value the V8, the useful bed features, and the comfortable cabin more than maximum choice or refinement.

like the truck very much. It's my 4th one. great towing truck. large cabin, very comfortable, fuel mpg good for a truck even while towing 24 ft inclosed trailer. I like the bright red color but they don't offer it every year.

How much does the 2014 Nissan Titan cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,956 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,065.75 |
| Year-Round High | $15,448.22 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $14,852 |
| Change vs. Last Year | +0.69% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 181 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $14,065.75, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan a good car?
Yes — the 2014 Nissan Titan earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a full-size truck with a straightforward formula, a quiet cabin, and accessible tech, so you get a practical setup without a lot of complexity. It also stands out for useful bed features and a comfortable interior, which makes it a fit if you want a used full-size pickup that feels a bit more upscale than its work-truck roots suggest. 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview says the Titan had a decent reputation for reliability, and its simple V8-based formula can be appealing if you want a truck with fewer moving parts than more complicated alternatives. Its quiet cabin and comfortable interior also support the case for everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a truck that has been maintained well enough to preserve that reputation.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, hauling, or off-road driving. Focus on overall condition, bed wear, cabin wear, and signs that the truck’s utility features have been used hard.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.
- Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 181 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 58.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,065.75, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan Titan's resale value?
The current average of $14,956 sits slightly above last year's $14,852.
That small increase suggests the Titan has held its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of price stability can be helpful because it points to a market that is easier to read and less likely to punish you for waiting too long. It also means a well-kept truck priced near the low end of the range may still attract attention from value-focused shoppers.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used full-size truck with a simple V8 setup, a comfortable cabin, and a market that is still reasonably stable, the 2014 Titan is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can broaden your search to nearby years and compare condition, accident history, and asking price closely before deciding.
