Is the 2014 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Nissan Murano earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and value for money, and they also call out the smooth ride and good handling. If you want a midsize SUV that leans more toward comfort and everyday usability than rugged utility, this model year fits that use case well. Is the 2014 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the Murano as dependable and comfortable over time. That combination suggests you may be looking at a used SUV that can serve well as a long-term ownership choice if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Murano?

At 59.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. A pre-purchase inspection is also worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how the CVT feels during a test drive, since that’s one of the key ownership considerations for this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 637 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,472, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $7,478 sits slightly below last year's $8,404.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale gains harder to count on in the short term. If you buy now, your best resale protection will come from choosing a clean, well-kept example at a strong purchase price. A lower entry cost can help offset slower appreciation later, especially if you plan to own the vehicle for several years.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2014 if you want the older Murano’s style, comfort, and value, especially if you can find a clean example at a strong price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the softer market can make this year appealing, but you should be selective about condition and history before committing.
