CarGurus Analysis: 2014 Nissan 370Z

Summary
With 134 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,263.00, 32.1% of 2014 Nissan 370Zs for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Nissan 370Z 4.6 / 5 stars.
58.2% of 2014 370Z models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan 370Z stands out as a compact, driver-focused sports car with a long-running reputation for style and simplicity. It was part of the 370Z’s first generation, and by this point the car had already established the formula that made it appealing: a two-seat, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, a tight cockpit, and a strong emphasis on driving enjoyment. Its timeless exterior styling and ease of modification also help explain why it has developed such a loyal following.
For 2014, the 370Z continued to offer a 3.7-liter V6 with 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque in the Base and Touring trims, while the Nismo model produced 350 hp and 276 lb-ft. Buyers could choose a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic, and the manual could be paired with SynchroRev Match in the Sport Package. The car’s equipment list also included useful everyday touches such as keyless entry and push-button start, cruise control, Bluetooth phone connectivity on the Touring trim, and a Bose audio system. That mix of performance hardware and relatively straightforward features is a big part of the 370Z’s appeal.
At the same time, the 2014 Nissan 370Z was not trying to be a modern tech showcase. The source material points to a lack of modern technology, huge blind spots, and excessive road and engine noise, so it is best suited to buyers who care more about the driving experience than convenience or refinement. For shoppers who want an affordable sports car with strong performance, distinctive styling, and a reputation for reliability, the 2014 370Z remains an easy car to understand and a memorable one to drive.

This is my second 370Z. First car was damaged beyond repair in a T-bone accident in the drivers side door. Car saved my life. Only whip lash. Side airbags went off meaning I was hit by other car that had to be moving plus 35mph. Very safe car! I bought another. Love the sport touring. Interior is loud. Car performance is quick for there are faster cars out there, but such a joy to drive. For all the things I didnt like about this car I was still drawn to buy it again for all the reasons I love this car. For a weekend get away with your partner there really isnt a much better ride for an enjoyable time. Super reliable.

The car is small on cargo as well as occupant room (2 seats). Its great as a second car or an occasional car. Very good looks with upgrade trim levels. Gas mileage is on average. Burns premium/high test gasoline. There are a few interior details that can be improved and Im sure with the new/newer model years have been addressed.

VERY under rated. Best car I have ever owned, and I have had many (including a 1973 240z). Great acceleration, handling, etc. Highly recommend.

I love the car, its a smooth ride and I feel like there is enough space for me and another friend. The car is very modifiable and the engine is a beauty, it is a V6 though so tread carefully on that gas pedal . The car is beautiful inside and out.

If you find a listing below $17,157.12, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z a good car?
Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the 370Z for its powerful performance, great acceleration, and fun driving experience, and many also like its stylish design and modification potential. Based on the overview, it fits you best if you want a compact, driver-focused sports car and care more about driving enjoyment than everyday polish. With 26.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable enough to inspire enthusiasm over time, with praise centered on the driving experience and the kind of ownership that keeps people engaged. That said, used-sports-car ownership still rewards careful maintenance checks, so you should pay close attention to service history and overall condition before you commit.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan 370Z?
At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus your condition check on signs of wear that matter most in a sports car: body integrity, tire wear, brake condition, and evidence of consistent maintenance.

What is the 2014 Nissan 370Z's resale value?
The current average of $18,553 sits slightly below last year's $18,982.
That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean future resale gains are limited unless you choose a particularly clean, well-kept example. For a future seller, condition and documentation matter more when the broader market is softening, because buyers tend to pay up for cars that feel well preserved. Strong enthusiast appeal can still support demand, especially for examples that stand out on maintenance and presentation.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.26% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want the classic 370Z formula and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If your priority is stretching your budget, the softer pricing and decent deal availability make this a sensible year to target; if you want the cleanest possible example, be selective and be ready to move quickly on the right car.
