How much does the 2014 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 686 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, fuel economy, and comfort, and many also like the performance and extra features such as the backup camera and safety sensors. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want a compact SUV that feels more engaging to drive while still covering everyday usefulness. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2014 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable in everyday use, with praise centered on smooth handling, comfort, and fuel economy. That said, used buyers should still plan for a careful inspection because long-term ownership risk can rise if prior engine, electrical, or brake issues were not addressed properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Mazda CX-5?

At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past collision work, then verify that the engine, electrical systems, and brakes operate cleanly during a test drive. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make condition and documentation your first filters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mazda CX-5?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 686 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,689, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $11,019 sits slightly above last year's $10,944.

That kind of stability suggests the model has held its value reasonably well, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend also means you are less likely to see sharp depreciation in the near term, especially if you buy a clean example and keep it in good condition. Strong demand from shoppers who want a fun-to-drive compact SUV can help support future resale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,192, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,019 average.
• It adds a more engaging driving feel with stronger overall appeal for fun-to-drive crossover shoppers.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want the lower price and a well-liked driving experience. If you can spend more and want the next year’s broader appeal, the 2015 is the better upgrade; if you are price-sensitive, the 2014 remains the smarter value play.
