How much does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 368 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson stands out as part of a generation that marked a clear step forward for Hyundai. Its design was more distinctive and attractive than before, and the cabin followed suit with more purposeful styling, more soft-touch surfaces, and fewer hard plastics.

It also grew in size, gaining rear-passenger headroom and legroom while still keeping the compact-SUV footprint that made the Tucson appealing in the first place. That makes it a practical fit if you want a small SUV that feels a little roomier and more polished than earlier versions.

Market availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson’s combination of improved design, better interior quality, and broader trim and powertrain choices made it a more polished and appealing compact SUV than the original model that came before it.

It also remained a value-oriented choice, especially since Hyundai’s reputation for offering a lot of features for the money was already part of the model’s appeal. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age and prior use matter more now, so condition and maintenance history should carry a lot of weight in your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any Tucson you’re seriously considering and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection before you commit. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently, since those factors matter more than mileage alone on an older used SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 368 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,595, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $8,695 sits slightly below last year's $9,541.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy well now, you may still protect yourself better on the back end by choosing a clean, well-kept example with strong documentation.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tucson makes sense if you want a value-focused compact SUV with improved styling, a roomier cabin, and a market that currently favors careful shoppers. If you’re especially price-sensitive, this year is worth targeting, but you should be selective and prioritize clean history and strong condition over simply chasing the lowest sticker price.
