How much does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 9.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 364 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson stands out as part of a generation that marked a clear step forward for Hyundai. Its design was more distinctive and attractive than before, and the cabin followed suit with more purposeful styling, more soft-touch surfaces, and fewer hard plastics.

It also grew in size, gaining rear-passenger headroom and legroom while still keeping the compact-SUV footprint that made the Tucson appealing in the first place. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a small SUV that feels a little more polished and practical than the original model.

Market availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson’s combination of improved design, better interior quality, and broader trim and powertrain choices made it a more polished and appealing compact SUV than the original model that came before it.

It also benefited from a lineup that had already evolved beyond its original setup, with available all-wheel drive and a stronger 2.4-liter engine on the SE trim. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and has not accumulated hidden wear from prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or repair quality issues. Focus on overall condition first, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past incidents or deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,597, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $8,617 sits slightly below last year's $9,545.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your position when it comes time to sell. The lower current average also makes it easier to enter the market without paying near the top of the recent range.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.73% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tucson makes sense if you want a more polished version of this compact SUV with a softer market price and enough inventory to shop carefully. If you’re price-sensitive, this year is worth targeting now; if you want to compare across nearby years, you may still find a better fit by looking at listings with cleaner histories and stronger condition.
