How much does the 2014 Hyundai Elantra cost?

There are 850 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Elantra a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Hyundai Elantra earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its dependability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also call out its value for money. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact car that balances everyday practicality with useful features like a smooth ride and user-friendly technology. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Elantra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback specifically highlights dependability and trouble-free day-to-day use, along with praise for comfort and fuel efficiency. That kind of feedback suggests the car can be a reassuring choice if you want something you can count on for regular commuting and ownership over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Elantra?

At 52.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of repair quality, since those issues can affect long-term ownership confidence. You should also focus on interior wear and cleanliness, especially if you want a car that still feels well kept.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Elantra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 850 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,228, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Elantra's resale value?

The current average of $7,234 sits slightly below last year's $7,548.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with strong documentation should hold up better than one with visible wear or accident history. Demand should remain supported by the model’s broad appeal, but your eventual resale outcome will depend heavily on condition and mileage.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Elantra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $7,535, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $7,234 average.
• It adds a more mainstream value-and-appeal balance with generous space and useful features.

The 2014 is the better path if you want the lower average price and strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling alternative, the 2015 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2014 remains the more compelling value play.

How does the 2014 Hyundai Elantra compare to the 2014 Kia Forte?

The Elantra gives you more listings, a slightly stronger deal share, and better fuel economy, while the Forte comes in cheaper on average. If you want more shopping choice and a broader market, the Elantra has the edge. If your top priority is the lowest average used price, the Forte is the more budget-focused option.
