How much does the 2014 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,014 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Honda Accord earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 9.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and performance, along with the smooth ride and comfortable interior. The overview also points to strong value for the money, which fits the Accord’s polished, well-executed feel and broad appeal as a practical midsize sedan. With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliability, and the review summary also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience with strong long-term appeal. The expert review adds that the Accord should prove better than average for long-term dependability and reliability, and it also notes low cost of ownership over the first five years. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes further reinforce that this is a car you can count on for the long haul.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been maintained well, especially if you want to avoid transmission or audio-system complaints that some owners mention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Accord?

At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven wear. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and how the transmission and electronics behave on a test drive. If you’re comparing multiple listings, the cleanest example with the best service history is usually the safer buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the least expensive path to ownership and comes with the essentials, while the Sport adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a better sound system, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof. The EX-L adds leather seats, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system with touchscreen display, satellite radio, HondaLink, and more driver-assistance tech, while Touring adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights.
• Powertrain: Most models use a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual in LX, Sport, and EX trims. The Sport version raises output to 189 hp. A 278-hp 3.5-liter V6 is optional on EX-L and standard on Touring, paired with a 6-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes SmartVent side impact airbags, a reversing camera, and ACE II body structure. LaneWatch comes on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring. Rear parking assist sensors are dealer-installed.
• Infotainment: The LX and Sport cover the basics with Bluetooth, music streaming, and text-message support. The EX adds a better sound system, while EX-L brings a premium sound system with a touchscreen display, satellite radio, and HondaLink connected services. Navigation is available only as a factory option on EX-L.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder models return up to 24 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, depending on transmission choice. The V6 is rated at 21/34 mpg. In testing, the Sport returned 27.9 mpg.

Which 2014 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the core Accord experience without extra frills. It gives you the essentials and keeps the car’s strong comfort, efficiency, and overall polish intact.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want a more aggressive look and a few meaningful upgrades without jumping too far up the price ladder. You get the sportier exterior treatment, bigger wheels, and a power driver’s seat, but you give up some ride comfort compared with the softer trims.
• EX: This is the smart middle ground if you want a better mix of convenience and tech. The added sunroof, SmartEntry, LaneWatch, and upgraded audio make it feel more complete without moving into luxury-trim pricing.
• EX-L: This is the trim to target if you want the most well-rounded ownership experience. Leather, heated seats, memory settings, a premium touchscreen audio setup, and more advanced safety tech make it the strongest blend of comfort and features.
• Touring: This is the top choice if you want the most equipment and don’t mind paying for it. Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights help it stand apart, but it makes the most sense if you specifically want the fully loaded version.

For safety equipment, LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,014 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $11,808 sits slightly below last year's $12,065.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A lower entry cost can make it easier to hold value relative to what you pay today, especially if you choose a clean, well-kept example. Strong demand also helps, since shoppers continue to respond to the Accord’s reputation for value and reliability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord safe?

The 2014 Honda Accord earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes SmartVent side impact airbags for the front seats, a reversing camera, and the ACE II body structure. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. One caveat is that Honda’s blind-spot approach is limited to the right side through LaneWatch, and it is not offered as a traditional two-sided blind-spot system.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 stands out for its polished execution, strong value, and broad appeal across comfort, efficiency, and safety.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,231, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,808 average.
• It emphasizes long-term dependability and everyday competence even more strongly.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger buy because pricing is softer and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who prioritize a slightly fresher used-car choice over upfront savings.

How does the 2014 Honda Accord compare to the 2014 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2014 Honda Accord 9.2/10 and the 2014 Toyota Camry 7.5/10.

The Accord comes out ahead on expert evaluation, and the data points to stronger performance, better fuel economy, and a more compelling value proposition. The Camry is close on price and deal share, but the Accord’s higher expert score and stronger owner satisfaction make it the more appealing choice if you want the better-rounded sedan. If you care most about used-market availability, the Accord also has more listings to choose from.
