How much does the 2014 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 7.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 797 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 4.71/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the Terrain’s spaciousness, smooth handling, and value for money, and many also like the comfort, economy, and sound system. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV that feels roomy and comfortable rather than sporty. With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and trouble-free ownership themes showing up in the reviews. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the vehicle was cared for before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 GMC Terrain?

At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, maintenance documentation, and signs of prior bodywork so you can separate a clean example from one that may carry extra risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 GMC Terrain?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 797 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,031, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $8,033 sits slightly below last year's $8,682.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and documentation than on broad market momentum. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and choose a clean example, you’ll be in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, comfortable compact SUV and you’re willing to be selective about condition and history, the 2014 is the better path to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and prioritize the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
