Why it stands out
The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro stands out as a muscle car that blends aggressive styling with serious performance, while still offering a range of trims and engines to suit different buyers. In this generation, Chevrolet gave the Camaro a lighter, smaller, and more efficient platform than before, and the car was available as a coupe or convertible. For 2014, the Camaro also received revised styling, with changes to the front end, while the Z/28 returned as the top model with a 7.0-liter, 505hp naturally aspirated V8, a six-speed manual transmission, and track-focused tuning.
That mix of everyday usability and hard-edged capability is a big part of the Camaro’s appeal. The 2014 model year also benefited from features such as MyLink touchscreen infotainment, and the broader generation offered a reputation for strong driving dynamics and a wide spread of powertrains. At the same time, the Camaro’s drawbacks remained familiar: the interior was still criticized for feeling cheap, and visibility could be poor. For buyers who want a distinctive American performance coupe or convertible with real track credibility, the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro delivers plenty of character, but it is best approached with an eye toward its cabin quality and outward visibility.

2014 Camaro LT review, this one being the 3.6L 6 speed manual car. I can say for a 6 cyl it still makes a fun sports car, especially if put on a good set of 20" rims with performance tires, they can really handle corners better than expected. The 5th gen Camaro overall is an excellent sturdy car, the type of car you can jump in and drive cross country with 50,000 miles or 300,000 miles on the clock and you know it will just get there every time. I used to commute 2 1/2 hours with this car and it averaged 32 miles per gallon, in instances with long flat roads it exceeded that even. The cons, the small windows can be a bit unnerving to get used to at first, after driving the car for a couple months it becomes a non issue and pretty easy to park anywhere. The paint is thin, and prone to chips and scratches, the interior fades and scratches easily, and if you have cloth seats they stain and tear easily.. Mechanically the car is rock solid as long as your aware of the timing chain service every 130k miles or so, and the fact the synchro's in the v6 manual are not for racing.. If your ok with those two gripes, there is nothing mechanically that will ever be an issue with these cars. They are very well supported in the aftermarket as well for parts.

The LS3 motor truly is a work of art, gobs of power and torque on demand at any rpm, and that doesn't even mention the sound from the car. Despite the performance, there is plenty of comfort with these beautiful leather seats. The back up camera could use lines to help you see where your car is going to be placed, but of course there's good old fashion mirrors for that. The blindspots are pretty large but with some smart mirror placement they go away pretty easily. I've dreamed of owning a Camaro since 2010 when I was just 8 years old, having one now is surreal and this car has far exceeded the expectations I've been building up for over a decade.

How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $15,099 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,133 |
| Year-Round High | $15,863 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,182 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −0.55% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 1,187 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?
Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the sporty design, great performance, powerful engine, technology, and handling, while also noting the Camaro’s appeal as a distinctive performance car. If you want a coupe or convertible with real muscle-car character and everyday usability, this model year fits that use case well. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to performance and overall dependability. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-kept example.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Camaro?
At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and major repairs before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified, driven hard, or has incomplete service records. Pay close attention to body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of neglect, since those details can tell you a lot about how the car was treated.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Camaro?
This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,187 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 54.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,133, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?
The current average of $15,099 sits slightly below last year's $15,182.
That small decline suggests the Camaro has been holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to a market that is relatively predictable. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a reasonable shot at preserving value when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want a Camaro with strong owner approval, steady pricing, and plenty of listings to compare, the 2014 is a sensible primary choice. If your priority is finding the lowest possible entry price, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2014 gives you a balanced mix of value, demand, and market depth.
