How much does the 2014 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 6.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 362 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Cadillac Escalade earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for this model year.

The overview shows why it appeals: you get a full-size luxury SUV with a 403hp 6.2-liter V8, a six-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and a cabin loaded with upscale features like heated first- and second-row seats, tri-zone climate control, remote start, and a premium audio system. It also stands out as the last year of its generation, which gives it a distinct place in the Escalade lineup and makes it especially relevant if you want the classic big Cadillac formula before the redesign.

30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around proven hardware and a straightforward luxury mission rather than complexity for its own sake. You are looking at a large, heavy SUV with strong V8 power and a well-equipped cabin, so the main ownership tradeoff is less about novelty and more about the realities of maintaining a big premium vehicle over time.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most likely to come from age, size, and upkeep costs rather than from the Escalade’s core appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and prioritize listings with clean records and consistent service documentation. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially because you are shopping a large luxury SUV where wear, repairs, and deferred maintenance can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and mechanical systems match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,111, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $15,743 sits slightly below last year's $16,870.

That decline suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you are thinking about future value, condition and documentation matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to reward well-kept examples. A clean history and strong presentation can help you stand out when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $19,331, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,743 average.
• The redesign brings a fresher, more attention-getting Escalade with stronger visual presence.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and prefer shopping the lower-priced, last-year-of-the-generation version, the 2014 is the smarter starting point. If you are willing to pay more for a redesigned model and a newer feel, the 2015 is the better alternative; price-sensitive buyers should stay focused on the 2014.
