Is the 2014 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Acura RDX earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. User feedback also highlights reliability and value for money, along with the kind of ownership experience that feels dependable and trouble-free for many drivers. That said, used buyers should still think about long-term ownership risk in the usual way: verify maintenance history and make sure the specific vehicle has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Acura RDX?

At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past collision work, then make sure the ride, visibility, and infotainment all meet your expectations during a test drive. If a listing looks unusually clean or unusually cheap, dig deeper before you commit.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.

What is the 2014 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $11,829 sits slightly below last year's $12,123.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. The current market also shows enough demand to keep the RDX moving, especially for shoppers who want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover. If you maintain it well and buy a clean example, you improve your odds of getting stronger resale interest later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a smart choice if you want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover and you can find a clean, well-priced example. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained vehicle rather than the newest badge, since condition and history matter a lot in this market.
