The Porsche 911 Turbo is one of the best cars ever made. Personally, I believe that this car is worth the acclaim and the price tag. This car can just climb up on the speedometer and at its peak is the most fun to drive.

PERFORAMANCE: Amazing acceleration, fantastic brakes, brilliant AWD handling..... and the sound under full acceleration..... nothing short of heaven. Only minor negative issues - turbo lag and "heavy" rear end.... just like any 911....:-) QUALITY: Nothing compares to the build quality from Porsche. Every gap is consistent, and the various mechanical/electronic system all function flawlessly. APPEARANCE: Loads of room in the front. (I am 6'-4". 250 lbs) Forget about the back seats..... Exterior styling is appropriate for this type of car, and the interior is typical German efficiency. Although the GPS and sound system controls are not very good. Porsche should consider a touch screen system in lieu of the roller wheels. COST OF OWNERSHIP: Expensive to buy, maintenance is not too expensive, as you do not have the first scheduled maintenance until 20K miles. (I recommend a minor service every 5K if you drive the car like it should be driven.) Gas mileage is very good for a car with 480 HP. On a recent 400 miles road trip, I hit 25 mpg cruising at "higher" than normal cruising speeds. In and around town, I am getting around 18 mpg. FUN FACTOR: All I can say is; AWESOME!! I test-drove most cars at the same price point, as well as with comparable performance, (AMG SL63, Nissan GTR, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, etc.) but the 911 Turbo is the "true" and classic sports car. I was not looking for a flashy car, but a great driving machine, and that is what I got. In short, buy one if you can.
