FAQs
Perhaps its redundant styling, feature set, and hauling capabilities have caused its lackluster sales. Similar in looks to the bigger Navigator, and almost a carbon copy of the popular Ford F-150, the 2008 Lincoln Mark LT luxury pickup enters its last year with additional pieces of equipment. Sirius satellite radio is now standard, and new options include a rearview camera that projects onto the rearview mirror and remote start.
This high-end, yet practical pickup is based on an F-150 double wishbone suspension and borrows its waterfall grille, wide lights, and badging from the brawnier Navigator. Its long wheelbase provides nearly 40 inches of legroom to both front and rear passengers, and the front captain's chairs and third-row bench allow the Mark LT to seat five comfortably. But it is also a capable workhorse, able to tow up to 8,900 pounds with its 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8 engine and 4-speed automatic with electronic throttle control. The truck comes in one trim, but is available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Standard bed length is 5.5 feet, but a 6.5-foot bed is available. Tie-downs are standard. In terms of safety, the 2008 Mark LT rates highly thanks to ABS brakes, dual front-side airbags, 18-inch wheels, and electronic brakeforce distribution. Traction and stability control come standard with rear-wheel drive models only.
Of course, you don't buy a Lincoln unless you're looking for luxurious comfort. The Mark LT doesn't disappoint, offering heated leather seats, power front seats with memory settings, faux wood and satin nickel finish, and a CD player that's MP3-compatible. A navigation system, sunroof, and DVD player are available and almost necessary options. For a sportier look, body-colored moldings, bumpers, and grille surround can be added. Despite its roomy interior and quiet ride (thanks to extra-thick insulating glass and Quiet Steel body parts), the 2008 Lincoln Mark LT doesn't particularly stand out from the increasingly crowded luxury pickup segment. Much of what is available in this pickup is also found on the cheaper Ford F-150 or the larger Cadillac Escalade.

(10 reviews)Love it! I think it is the best truck that is no longer made! Perfect combination of style and function! You can drive this vehicle for hours on end and will be refreshed at the end of your journey. The looks you get when driving by are unforgettable!
The best vehicle I have ever owned, it's like driving off road in a BMW, but better.
truck handles extremely well, really nice interior
It’s a true luxury truck . Class and dependable all in one.
Luxury at its finest. Not great on the gas, but you go to the gas station in style.
