Four-wheel disc antilock brakes, MacPherson struts, and an independent suspension provide a smooth and capable ride, according to drivers and reviewers. In addition, the Edge offers a tight turning radius. However, some drivers note that the Edge's brakes, when applied, take too long to stop the vehicle, a fact borne out by recent tests, which indicate that the Edge has one of the longest braking distances in its class. As far as the interior is concerned, the Edge comes well-appointed, with all the expected power amenities as well as flexible seating and a full range of air bags. Many drivers also enjoy the Panoramic Vista roof, which includes a large forward panel that tilts up or fully opens, and a fixed rear skylight. The Vista roof is optional on the SEL and Limited trims, but is not available on the entry-level SE trim.
