The Audi A4 Avant got a notable exterior makeover and a couple new engines for 2005. Cosmetic changes include a new grille and taillights. As for the powertrains, you now get to choose between 2.0 L, 200 hp I4 and 3.1 L, 255 hp V6 models. Both trims have all wheel drive. Audi labels the I4 trim as the 2.0T quattro and the V6 trim as the 3.2 quattro. The 3.2 quattro has 6 speed Tiptronic automatic transmission while the 2.0T gives you your pick between 6 speed manual and Tiptronic automatic transmission. The 2.0T quattro gets you 22 mpg in the city while the 3.2 gets you 18 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway. Both trims have 4 doors, seat 5, and 27.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Overall, drivers like the A4 Avant's affordability, quality materials, and solid handling. While some critics would like a little more interior room, most people recommend this higher-end wagon. Consider the A4 Avant if you don't want to spend a lot to get a lot.

So far great little wagon for city and out of town trips. We bought it with little over 100k miles from used car dealer coupe weeks ago. Runs Great no problems. Requires Premium GAs and synthetic oil due to turbo engine. So far I'm very pleased with it.

handles great,accelerates brilliantly dont even need to change down,great road presence,affordable to service & repair. parts are easily found new or second hand,very comfortable interior,plenty of room in the boot,motorway driving gets me roughly 50+mpg,town driving gets me 38mpg , very practical family car, great move from a petrol.

Great car, good mpgs. Great acceleration and handling. Build Quality well audi are the best made interiors in the car world. The car is great to drive holds the road like no american car does, quattro grip is great. Superb

great handling and road feel, fit and finish are perfect. This little car has saved my butt on many an icy road where SUV's were in the ditch I drove right on by. I will never drive another car without quattro while living in the hinterlands.

Comfortable, stylish interior. Fast and handles like it's on rails, does not move off line cornering! Decent on gas. Awesome car.
