About 2004 BMW X5
BMW made its most extensive string of changes to its X5 luxury SUV in 2004, the first major overhaul for the vehicle since it debited in 2000. Also added in 2004 was the 4.8i trim. Capable of going as fast as 150 miles per hour (but not necessarily wise to do so), the X5 is "quicker away from traffic lights than most cars," the X5 offer precise steering and is "exceptionally stable at supra-legal speeds." What drivers didn't like is the limited cargo space and the fact that while the luxury vehicle is billed as an SUV, it's not the type of vehicle you can use for stream crossing and road forging. At best, the vehicle will handle well on a logging road but for all practical purposes, this is a comfortable car for weekend road trips with the kids.
