The 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan didn't change its MO much, as it seemd to be doing everything right. New for 2003 is a power sunroof option for the ES only, and standard power liftgate on the eX and ES, a feature highly valued by appreciative moms everywhere. The AutoStick transmission is discontinued in 2003. Grand Caravans also offer optional three-zone temperature control to accommodate the three rows of passenger seating.

From its wide variety of engine and trim options, to the smooth, quiet ride and car-like driving experience, to the cargo space and energetic engine, this minivan remains popular among owners. Drivers love the interior comfort and high seating. Some downsides are the heavy-to-remove third-row seating, wide turn radius, and maneuverability of the long Grand Caravans. One thing Dodge seems to have addressed is the transmission problems, as complaints of this in the 2003 Grand Caravan are not as abundant as in other years.
