Overview

Other than new 4 speed automatic transmission, the GMC Yukon SUV enters 2002 pretty much the same way it ended 2001. The cousin of the Chevy Tahoe comes in 7 trims: Base, Base 4WD, SLE, SLE 4WD, SLT, SLT 4WD, and Denali 4WD. If you like V8 powertrains, the Yukon has 2: a 4.8 L, 275 hp and 6.0 L, 320 hp.
The Yukon has 4 doors and seats 6-9 depending on the trim. Gas mileage comes out to an SUV-like 14 mpg in the city and 18 on the highway. Towing capacity maxes out around 8000 lbs. With the second row folded down and third row removed, you get 105 cubic feet of cargo space.
As usual with the Yukon, drivers like the engines and interior room. However, interior quality could use an upgrade. In any event, the 2002 GMC Yukon continues the SUV's strong run and paves the way for a bright future at home and abroad.

I like how it is big and safe along with how comfortable it is but it has ok gas mpg and isn't to good for any type of racing. It's a great first car though for icy roads during the winter.

Fun and stylish. Bad gas mileage but handles well. Very fast for an SUV. Comfortable with plenty of space for everything. Sun roof is a plus and leather seats are great. Heated seats need work. I haven't had to do much in terms of repairs so far.

this is one of the best family transporters you can find great perforce and low maintenance more expensive then most in its class but worth every penny cheaper on gas performs awesome loaded or not ,very nice ride quality my only gripes are back suspention needs to be beefed up for towing and could use alittle more storage space
