The 2000 Mazda saw quite a few changes from the previous year. The front and rear ends were restyled; the handling, brakes, and steering were made more responsive; and many new options were offered, including front side airbags and larger alloy wheels.
The 1999 Mazda 626 was available in four times: the LX, the LX V6, the ES, and the ES V6. The LX was the midrange model. Upgrading to the ES gets a power moon roof, leather interior, and a six-way power driver’s seat. The base engine was a 2.0-liter, 130 horsepower four cylinder, and the V6 had 2.5 liters and 170 horsepower. Fuel economy is 22/28 for the four cylinder and 20/26 for the V6.
Many drivers like the 2000 Mazda 626 because it handles well and is fun to drive, saying that it is much sportier than the top-selling family sedans on the market. 626 enthusiasts also like the car because it is comfortable and gets good gas mileage. Many four-cylinder drivers say the car is underpowered. Others complain the back seat is too small.

(12 reviews)style body and shape. single owner, non smoker. built in sunroof, air conditioning working, not too many repairs, not too expensive, maybe a good stereo speakers, leather interior, original motor and transmission in good condition. not too many squeaks and rattles.
I got this car used in Jan. 2008. It had great mileage considering the year - 79000, and was well kept. Silver, sunroof, Bose sound system, leather seats, V6. Since then, I have had absolutely no engine problems. Overall nice car.
Its ok. Nothing great about it. The acceleration is nothing great, it is a 4 cylinder, and a small 4 cylinder at that. It drives nice tho and is a good car and treats me well. I've had a few problems here or there but nothing that ever cost more than 300$ to fix. Its reliable and i feel fine taking it on long distance trips. I have 185,000 miles on it and counting and it stil runs fine. It shakes a little bit when i am stopped at a stop light, but if i put it in park or neutral it doesnt do it.
Bought this car for two grand and have had it almost a year. Haven't had hardly any problems so far. I wrecked it but it was easily fixable and it's used for a daily commuter car. Gas mileage is pretty good.
I bought the car with 100k miles on it for 4k and it lost a transmission cable which cost $130 to replace and then the engine blew three months after i bought it. this car was a complete waste of money.
