Performance: Acceleration, braking, and handling is quite good. Build Quality: The Buick LeSabre is quite reliable. The only issue that may seem bad to some people is the humming fuel pump noise behind the driver's side of the vehicle. Also, the power windows was somewhat an issue as the driver's side window was stuck (yet fixed itself about a day or two later) an issue that happened off of the lot. Appearance: The Buick LeSebre is a luxurious vehicle. It has some comfort features and has great appeal as a family car. Cost of Ownership: Mileage was okay when I first bought it and the price was fair ($5,000 at over 75,000 miles). Fuel economy is decent, and maintenance was great. Fun Factor: Even though the sound of the fuel pump may be a deterrence, riding in this can be quite a fun experience.

The Buick LeSabre is a great overall car for someone who just wants affordable, safe, and reliable transportation. It's cheap to insure and gets awesome gas mileage for a huge car....30 mpg on the road!

We got this car from my grandparents about 2 years ago, who had replaced it with a deville. The car was in good condition due to the fact that it was owned by old people and wasn't kept under an oak tree. We received it with about 100,000 miles on the clock and a serious problem, the transmission. The reason for the problem is for one, the transmission fluid was well past due for service and that my grandparents drove it at extremely low speeds. So, essentially, the problem was accelerating from a dead stop, kuh-kuh-kuh-kuh as the transmission slipped with very noticeable jerking, not good for a bad neck. However, it has its upsides. An amazing stereo sound system for one and seating for 6. By seating for six i mean that there are six seatbelts and the center console lifts to reveal one of them. All in all its a very comfortable car, spacious, good suspension, trunk space and stereo to boot. My dad even made it to a campsite in the mountains on a trail marked "4x4's only". Performance isn't bad either, because it has the same engine as a Pontiac Gran Prix, the 3800 Series V6, which also means that the gas mileage isn't bad either, 27 mpg after adding up the miles. Only real problem with the build is the aftermarket sunroof which decided to leak during a nor' easter in the summer of 2010 and the trunk latch which wont catch unless you really slam it. Now, the looks. The exterior is styled like a 1970's Vauxhall, not my thing but its not necessarily bad looking. Its the kind of car you'd expect to see B.B. King or Cab Calloway driving. The interior is as I said before, spacious, but I didn't mention luxurious, and it is both of these. a mix of leather and vinyl with (fake?) wood trim. The A/C has front passenger climate control and rear passenger air flow directer. Seats, motorized & heated. Mirrors, motorized and heated. True American Luxury. Upkeep is fairly cheap considering that it is domestic and runs on unleaded regular. Is it fun to drive? Well, no, fun is not the right word. Relaxing, yes, which is how its supposed to be. After all, luxury isn't about being fun, its about being calming and satasfying.

The last of the road yachts. Dyna ride makes this a plush, comfortable ride. The 3.8L V6 is super dependable and theres cars easily go over 200,000 miles with even indifferent maintenance. Definitely worth buying one of these. I own 2 at the moment.

The 1999 Buick Lesabre is a great and comfortable car. It drives very smooth and cruises on the highway. Extremely compfortable ride quality. Great car for the money. The car is not very funt o drive. It is a couch on wheels. It is relaxing to drive. It gets good gas mileage as well. close to 30 mpg on the freeway and 26 around town.
