Just keeps going... and going. 175,000km and just run in! very reliable. Has plenty of power and the fuel economy on the hiway is better than a 4 cyl. I can and have got over 900km out of one tank of fuel.

I looov ehtis car, have had it for nigh on 10 years now. the performance is outstanding, she handles as well as ever and provides plenty of power when I need it. the engine and geabox are still going strong without missing a beat since I rolled her off the lot. The AU style was poo-pooed when it first came out but take a look at car design and you see common themes amongst almost all cars now, perhaps it was a little ahead of the curve there. This car has been a beloved member of the family for a long time and it will be with a heavy heart when we have to replace her.

Cheap and powerful. Lightweight in comparison to newer XR8's means that it is quicker buzzing around town and off the traffic lights. Far less powerfull once moving tough then the Boss falcons. Comfortable with lots of room, fuel consumption isn't great but no worse then other performance cars of a similar power and size.

14 sec quarter handles good (now) crappy factory brakes need upgrading. ugly inside (standard) custom interior helps nice outside. first xr8 ute made cheap and underated nice to drive only 624 made unique keeping up with ls1s in an old 5ltr
