About 1995 Audi S6
Overview

The stand-alone 1995 Audi S6 is essentially the old Audi S4 rebadged, since the 100 platform on which it was based was going through a renaming transition to the A6. As such, the 1995 S6 is virtually identical to the 1994 S4. A mid-size luxury performance-oriented sedan (and the rare wagon, mostly sold in Europe), the S6 featured a 2.2-liter, 227-hp turbocharged I5 engine and standard 6-speed manual transmission. With sports-tuned suspension, springs, and shocks, and dual exhaust pipes, the S6 boasted 0-60 in six seconds. Quattro all-wheel drive turned the commuter sedan into an outdoor all-weather, all-season car, sure-footed in any condition.
Though the ride was firmer and performed optimally in highway driving, city roads were relatively smooth, thanks not only to Audi engineering, but its attention to comfort and luxury on the inside. The 1995 S6 came standard with leather seats, cruise control, intermittent wipers, power heated mirrors, a power sunroof, keyless entry, an alarm system, and the spoil-yourself heated front and rear seats. There was virtually nothing left for the options list except for a CD changer.
As with the S4, owners of the 1995 S6 praise its precise handling, solid feel behind the wheel, and confident grip on the road. They report little body roll and expert cornering capability. The most frequent complaint was turbo lag, though once the S6 got into gear, it was pleasingly fast. High marks also go to the comfortable and roomy interior and the quattro technology. Some criticisms went to the soft braking and electrical system problems. As with all Audis, repairs and parts are jaw-dropping expensive.

Best car i have ever owned. Getting ready to sell my 05 A8L to go back to this car. Maintain it and you will never have to replace a part. Car is an amazing drive and leaves everyone behind. Great sleeper.

The swiss army knife of autos. Carrys the whole family in whatever weather you ask it to, handles nicely, accelerates with vigor, with Porsche Boxster brake upgrade, stops with authority. All this and the car has been extremely reliable and comfortable to boot with heated Recaros and all the toys you'd expect in a car of this caliber. The only negative is that the car is SO under the radar, few know it ever existed and fewer know much of anything about it.

This is my second urS car. I personally enjoy the sedan more but the wagon is very helpful: third row seat, flat olding rear seats, rear wiper.... Reliable, powerful, decent mileage, and many options you cannot get on newer cars (auto windows, auto climate, heated seats, 6CD, etc....)
