Used Volkswagen Passat for Sale near Cullman, AL
For 1992, Volkswagen introduced a new entry-level CL trim package for its Passat sedan and wagon, which joined the existing GL package. Both trims came with a 2.0-liter, twin-cam, 4-cylinder engine that generated 134 hp. It was coupled with a five-speed manual overdrive transmission, which was standard. A four-speed automatic was available as an option for both trim packages.
Standard features for the CL included power brakes, bucket seats, a rear-window defroster, a tilt steering wheel, and 14-inch wheels. The GL added air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, and a cassette player as standard equipment. Anti-lock brakes were available as an option on the CL; a sunroof and leather seats were available as options on the GL.
Drivers' opinions of the Passat varied widely. Transmission problems were noted by a number of drivers, who also pointed out that repairs for the Passat were expensive. On the other hand, some drivers noted that the car ran well, even when the mileage was well north of 200,000. The Passat's handling, roominess, and gas mileage generally got good marks from drivers.

(8 reviews)just don't roll it down a mountain. Looks aside, everything functioned fine. All the necessities, at least. The brakes worked fine, acceleration was good, handling was excellent (it's German. What did you expect?) It's a fun car to drive... It looks good, or it did before...yeah. I would definately recommend this car to a friend.
Great performances out of the G60 supercharged engine; got stage 4 bbm chip cam pulley and isv reroute, gets a good gas mileage; around 16 L/100 km. very fun to drive, especially with the syncro four wheel drive system
Ours was clean, gorgeous, and blessed with low mileage, but low k's didn't prevent the reverse lights from turning themselves on independently of the gearshift's position. Dash lights would sparkle without reason, and driving at low speed allowed a cornucopia of exotic smells into the cabin. The 1.8L supercharged engine from the Corrado along with the Syncro AWD system added speed an traction, but not enough to distract us from the the wacky and unpredictable electrical system.
Small car but comfortable. Trunk is big. Looks very elegant, mine was black.
great for bending corners with the sport suspension kit and low profile 17 inch tires, stereo is about 3 years in the making. stereo produces 160db engine is good with a few small exhaust mods and some small performance mods has the 5 speed transmision
