About 1992 Nissan Maxima
Overview

For the 1992 model year, Nissan put a more powerful engine in the higher-end trim of the luxurious Maxima. The front end was also restyled, and for the first time a drivers-side airbag was offered. The 1992 Nissan Maxima came in two trims: the GXE and the sportier SE. The SE was available with a five-speed manual or automatic transmission, and the GXE was available only with the four-speed manual. The GXE had a 3.0-liter, 160-horsepower V6, which was bumped up to 190 horses for the SE. The fuel economy is about 19/26 mpg for both engines. The 1992 Maxima was popular for a number of reasons, including its reputation for reliability, good looks and comfy interior, and powerful engine. Many drivers are annoyed by the mechanical seatbelts.

I love my car! Performance is great, just fast enough for me. Built great. All older cars need up keep, but the only repairs i have done so far are struts, wipers, wiper fluid squirters, oil change, belts. It does need new rotors, but not immediately, according to a mechanic I don't even have to change them for a year. Appearance is great, only body damage is scratches on the passengers side from a minor accident with the previous owner.
