About 1985 Chevrolet Corvette
Overview

Chosen by Car and Driver Magazine as America's fastest road car, the 1985 Chevrolet Corvette featured a brand-new engine. The base engine was the L98 350-cubic-inch V8, rated at 230 horsepower. Even though horsepower improved, fuel economy got better as well; a new Bosch fuel injection system made the engine more efficient than ever. This engine would remain standard for the following 7 model years.
The suspension was also softened slightly for 1985. Other than the engine and suspension, the car was very similar to the popular 1984 model, and the aerodynamic look continued to receive near-universal accolades. Some say '85 Corvettes have problems with mass air flow, though.

I have owned mine for 2 years and wouldn't trade it for any other as it runs and drives like a dream. The performance is awesome. The 5.7 is strong and never has failed me.

Not for show. Needs to be driven to really enjoy it. With the top off it is very enjoyable to travel around in. It was an everyday driver for me until I retired. Now it is an occasional ride on nice days

The '85 Corvettes had a lot of squeeks ansd such due to a lack of time to refine the car's flaws before it hit the market. The power and accelaration are great for an 80's car! I'm not a big fan of the digital dash thought. Nor do I car for square interiors. Over all though, I loved this car and feel that I made a huge mistake by getting rid of it.

This is my first corvette and it has not disappointed. Fast strong and stuck to the road. You look out over that long hood and know that its just you and the motor and she inspires you to use all 230 horses. Confidence is what this car makes in spades, you know she will run wild but the brakes also will regain control and bring to you down to reality when needed. She temps you to hit corners faster and hammer you way out.
