About 1982 Honda Accord
Overview

The 1982 Honda Accord marks the beginning of Accord's second generation â?? and the first time the Accord was actually made in America - Ohio, to be exact. The Accord wheelbase was increased by about three inches and its length by about 2 inches, giving rear-seat passengers a tad more leg room. The mechanics of the car were virtually unchanged (except for a 3-hp increase, all the way up to 75 hp) from the first generation Accords, but the body was restyled and the interior became a bit more aesthetically pleasing.
The base price was about $7,400, making the Accord no longer one of the cheapest cars around. However, the price didn't put off drivers, who still wanted to own this fuel-efficient auto, and for the first time, Car and Driver magazine named it one of the year's Ten Best Cars. Current drivers of this 20-plus-year-old car consider it "cheap, rock-solid transportation" that's economical and reliable.

Reviewed a 1982 Honda Base Hatchback on Jan 21, 2008
I have a 1982 Honda Accord Hatchback that I paid $250.00 for last year. It gets okay mileage. It's been used pretty hard, but at nearly 200,000 miles, it is still going. I'm trying to find a manual to work on it, but they're hard to come by, like parts. It's been a great second car.
