The 1981 Honda Accord (finally) marks the last year of the first generation. A new trim level was offered this year, which included leather seats, power windows and doors, and a cassette deck. This SE model packed a punch with the American public who were far more used to vinyl seats and windows that took arm and elbow muscles to roll up and down. Over the five years of the Accord history, prices had risen by 50 percent, but so too had popularity. Today's drivers of '81 Accords tend to be teens, who can afford the low, low price tag of a 25 year old car, that as some say, "can be driven into the ground and will keep on going."
