Overview

Ford's popular F-150 half-ton pickup came with a new engine option for the 1977 model year. For the first time, the 77 F150 was available with a Cleveland V-8, as well as the FE, 385, and Windsor V8 (and straight-6 choices) previously offered. The beefed-up Cleveland block provided tremendous power, but at the cost of fuel economy, so the big-mill honeymoon would only last until 1979.
The 1977 F-150 came in Custom, Sport, Ranger, and Ranger XLT trims, with a supercab extended crewcab option for styleside models, as well as flareside 4-door and 2-door configurations. Rugged and tough, the 77 F-150 has the grit to go off-road, and the muscle and durability to do workhorse duty on a ranch or farm. Like most entries in Ford's F-series, this vintage beauty is a lasting favorite with tuners.

I love this truck! It is the second 77 I have owned and I have rennovated both of them. I never want to get rid of it.

The looks, the sound, the power, and the feel when I'm behind the wheel. I towed a 20' trailor house 40 miles from Yankton S.D to Menno S.D. and this ol' girl did it no problem. It makes me a proud owner of a Ford.

Very well built truck, good toy for mudding, only if you have 4 wheel drive though, I might be doing a 4 wheel drive swap on mine, because currently i have 2 wheel drive. Would be pretty beastly if i stacked it up on 45 inch TSL boggers with a dana 44 in the front and my Ford 9 inch in the rear.
