Used 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle for Sale near Janesville, WI
The 1972 Chevelle seemed to be following in the tread marks of other muscle cars of the time, declining in power to meet emissions standards.
A new rule had engines reporting their net horsepower rather than their gross, so power numbers fell through the floor.
The 350-ci V8 was now rated at 175 horsepower, even though the engine did not change. The top engine was the LS5 available in the SS 454, rated at 270 horsepower.
The exterior was not changed much from the 1971 model, except that single-unit front turn signals were introduced.

Factory 402, super acceleration, handling is touchy, car was equipped for racing (never raced)so this is a car for someone who can control the power. Never been wrecked, only 73000 actual miles, always garaged. No rust anywhere, interior in very good condition, and this car is a ball to drive!
350 four bolt main, Flat top pistons, bored .030 over, corvette rv cam, 345 hp, 365 lbs/torque, holley high rise intake, edelbrock four barrel carb, turbo 400 trans with b&m racing shift kit, 12 bolt posi traction rear end. front disc brakes. flowmaster exhaust.
This car is a classic with a 350 small block (I know I listed it as an SS because Malibu wasn't an option). It's a restoration project of mine. Excellent styling and power, as well as luxury. An American classic for sure.
I loved this car, it had plenty of power, would pull the front wheels off the ground. It was fast, and never gave me a bad time
