Dealerships near me (Pine Brook, NJ)

I had called inquiring about a 2018 Toyota RAV4 I explain that I was from Rhode Island and asked if they deliver as advertised. They said they do and would I like to see the car. Assuming they "deliver" I scheduled an appointment. They text me back the day of asking when I would be arriving. I realized they thought I was coming to see the car and not have it dropped off. I explained I live in Rhode Island and the dealer was in New Jersey. That I wouldn't be driving to New Jersey to look at a car. Assumed they deliver as mentioned. Point to the review is they kept calling and texting me asking when or if I want to schedule a test drive. I explained again that I live in Rhode Island. They said no problem we can deliver you the car. I said ok when They replied when do you want to come in to test drive the vehicle??? Like Twilight zone here. They wanted me to drive down to New Jersey 4+ hrs to test drive the car and then charge me to deliver the car to Rhode Island. Um yea, no...

Hoping to complete purchase of a car. My experience thus far has been very favorable. Fingers crossed that it will continue that way.

Greg was great. Unfortunately, there was a couple scratches that were bigger than previously thought. Again, Greg was good, just wasnt exactly what I was looking for. No hidden fees and everything explained and Greg was willing to take vehcile to mechanic of my choice to inspect. No complaints just wasnt able to do a deal.

Started well with a young sales woman then was passed on the a “manager”. He came across as very aggressive and arrogant! I was willing to still move forward but had second thoughts when was greeted rudely on the day of my test drive. I’m leaving names out because my intent is only for those involved to learn and grow from this!

BEWARE of hidden fees. They wanted to imposed a mandatory " theft protection plan" in case your vehicle get stolen. Which in my case makes no sense to pay extra $600-$700 for it, when my auto insurance covers it. Also the have a $1,000 mandatory "document fee". Why should I pay so much money just for having them enter my basic information in a computer system. I asked to lower the documents fee and eliminated the theft protection plan and they said it's mandatory and refused to negotiate. The vehicle was an OLD 2012 toyota rav4 that the front headlights weren't even polished and clear.
