I had never heard of Cargurus before and I have to say it made the car buying process so much easier! Genesis of South Bay was easy to work with. We negotiated the price before we went to test drive the car. Everything was as expected and we were able to bring the car home within a reasonable amount of time. Great experience!

He took the time to give me pros and cons on the five cars I narrowed down on and I didn’t feel rushed. Once I got down to my final two he took a guess at the one he felt I would choose and he was right. Thank you for making this experience a positive one and answering all of my questions. Truthfully, everything was great, but the only issue I encountered was the lack of transparency regarding getting the car serviced. I can’t bash on them too hard, but I had to spend money out of pocket to fix an issue that wasn’t caused by me after buying the car. I’ve only had it for 2 weeks now, and I spent close to my car note to fix an issue. Besides that, sales was great, and the team was helpful. I just wish there was a thorough investigation prior to releasing the car.

Martin Chevrolet posted a new 2024 Silverado 1500 Work Truck 4 wheel drive on CarGurus with the dealers price $38,190 dollars. When they replied to my inquiry, the actual price for this vehicle was $46,000 dollars. I wanted to believe it was simply an honest mistake however, I found the same listing price on another search site as well. I feel they intentionally posted this vehicle this way and I don’t appreciate misleading advertising.

They don’t deserve a single star. Sold me a car that was unsafe to drive. Took to another dealership for inspection after notifying South Bay Lexus that the car was leaking puddles of oil and was not shifting without jerking, they said to bring it in to have a look. I didn't feel safe driving it, took it to independent mechanic was told give it back, took it to another dealership for inspection, found cracked dog bone engine mount, blown head gaskets, strut issues, and unknown transmission issues, I didn't want to pay an additional 200 for further diagnostics. South Bay Lexus in Torrance agreed to reverse the deal but have yet to return my down payment or cancel my loan, with the first payment already posted. I am paying for a car I do not have that I left as instructed by South Bay with Carlsbad Lexus where the inspections were done after purchasing. I had to take a train and lyft rides to sign paperwork over 80 miles away to retrieve the car I traded. Shady, dishonest? *carfax
