GMC dealerships near me (Troy, MI)

This place is an absolute joke! Quite possibly THE WORST managed dealership I have ever interacted with in my life. I called and emailed on purchasing a vehicle the second it was listed. I spoke with the sales associate and told him I wanted to purchase the vehicle and asked him to please send me a purchase contract because I live 4 1/2 hours away and wanted to have everything set up and done so that when I made the 4 Hour drive I would be able to pick up the vehicle that day. I had cash in hand to purchase it! I relayed all this information to the sales associate I was working with, and then he never text back. I then called the sales manager and left numerous messages and never received a call back, I had my father-in-law contact the sales manager, who assured him he would give him a call back, and of course, the Sales manager never contacted either of us back. I literally could not give away my money to this place! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Professional and polite

Sales rep was very, very nice. Finance director, whom I never met, told the salesperson they keep several cars on the lot that are "cash only." This vehicle had to be cash, credit card or cashiers check. It would have been helpful to know this before driving 18 miles to get there. I took that to mean they don't do sub prime lending. Very disappointed. Was approved at another dealership for a car in minutes.

Lied about pricing and didn't return my follow up calls. I called the manager and still no return call.

The vehicle has been publicly listed for nearly two months. Each time I contacted the dealership, I was told another customer had placed money on it. However, the vehicle has remained actively advertised with no indication that it was pending or unavailable. I was not given a belieable explanation, timeline, or the opportunity to place a backup deposit. Receiving the same response repeatedly while seeing the vehicle still listed has been frustrating and discouraging. As an African American man, this experience has been particularly disheartening. While I cannot say definitively why it was handled this way, the lack of transparency left me feeling uneasy and questioning whether I was being treated fairly. I simply wanted a fair and equal opportunity to purchase a publicly advertised vehicle.
