I found a Yukon with them listed at a reasonable price. When I called and started working with the dealer, I believed that everything was going well until they presented me with an out-the-door price that was $15,000 more than the listed price of the vehicle. I understand dealership fees. When I asked where the hidden fees were coming from, they explained that the price online was only if you financed through their dealership. I already had a financer that I’ve used for over a decade. It was a Credit Union that has very good rates. So I was not inclined to finance elsewhere. Next, there was a mandatory vehicle protection cost of $3000. They also explained that there was a $2200 transport fee since I was purchasing it out of state. However, I ended up finding a similar vehicle in a different state, which was twice as far away, and their transport fee was half of this dealership’s. So I ended up going with the vehicle that was further away. They did not seem willing to negotiate.
