Honda was founded in Japan in 1948. It started with motorcycles, and then began producing automobiles in 1963. Its first vehicle was the T360 micro-truck. American Honda Motor Co. was established in 1959 initially selling motorcycles and then expanded to automobile sales in America with the N600 subcompact car in 1970. The Civic was introduced in 1973 and then in 1982, it opened an assembly plant in Marysville, Ohio. It has produced the Accord at this facility to this day. Honda has several facilities in America, including ones in Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, and Alabama. It also has a production facility in Mexico.
