Lexus probably isn’t the first name that comes to mind when thinking of powerful two-door touring cars, but the LC is a prime example of the automaker’s prowess in the segment.

What’s New for the 2024 Lexus LC
Lexus gave the LC its new infotainment interface and added parking sensors for the 2024 model year.
Design
The LC is almost universally praised for its styling. Its show-stopping curb presence is thanks to its low, dramatic two-door body and broad stance. The car carries Lexus’s signature spindle grille, and its curvy shape reflects light in interesting ways, making it appear to slink along in motion. Around the back, unique tail light shapes extend down the rear quarter panels, and two chrome faux exhaust finishers prominently accent the lower bumper area.
Powertrain
Lexus offers a hybrid LC as well, but the standard car gets a 5.0-liter V8 making 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. That output hits the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the powertrain is good for a 4.4-second zero-to-60 mph time. Powerful acceleration aside, the LC’s old-school V8 makes all the right sounds and provides a thrilling driving experience.
The LC delivers responsive steering and solid handling, but it’s still more than capable of a smooth ride when asked. Though the driving experience isn’t as sporty or agile as some of its competitors, the car provides engagement and plenty of speed when pushed.

Interior
The drama created by the LC’s exterior continues inside, where Lexus gave the car a gorgeous cabin with high-quality materials and a driver-centric feel. Leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats come standard, along with heating and ventilation. Semi-aniline leather is available, and buyers can opt for sport seats with suede accents. Most people will find the front seats to be nicely padded and supportive, but the back seat is too small for anything other than occasional use, and only shorter trips then.
Technology
Lexus equips a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the 2024 LC. The automaker’s new infotainment interface is far easier to use and less complicated than previous iterations, and the standard 12-speaker audio system provides better-than-expected sound quality. Voice controls work more fluidly and the system is more responsive overall, making it less distracting to use while driving. Available features include a Mark Levinson 13-speaker sound system.
Safety
The 2024 Lexus LC hasn’t received complete crash testing yet, but it gets a fairly robust suite of advanced driver aids. Adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, parking sensors, and pedestrian detection come standard. Buyers can add a head-up display in some configurations.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, the base 2024 Lexus LC starts at $99,800 and the convertible at $107,300. The car is available with a range of packages and upgrades that push those prices higher, including a $6,400 Dynamic Handling Package, a $1,900 Sport Package, and a $2,000 Touring Package.
