Lexus hasn’t always been associated with performance and striking styling, but the luxury brand has broken out with a few standout models over the years. The LC coupe is one of its most recognizable efforts, combining a rowdy V8 with beautiful bodywork and a striking interior. The LC Hybrid is much the same, though its 3.5-liter V6 and electric motors don’t quite pack the same punch as its V8 counterpart.

What’s New for the 2024 Lexus LC Hybrid
The LC didn’t receive many changes for the 2024 model year, but Lexus updated its infotainment system with a new, easier-to-use interface and more responsive menus. The LC also picked up front and rear parking sensors for 2024.
Design
The LC Hybrid retains the traffic-stopping styling of its gas-only counterpart, bringing dramatic scoops, vents, and lines that make the car look like a swooping classic from the 1940s. Though it retains Lexus’s signature “spindle” grille, the LC integrates it with the rest of its overall styling to create an elevated design that transcends the automaker's catalog.
Powertrain
Where the standard LC gets a beefy V8, the LC Hybrid offers a 3.5-liter V6 with two electric motors producing a combined 354 horsepower. That’s a significant cut from the V8, and unfortunately, the continuously variable transmission (CVT) blunts the driving experience.

Interior
The LC Hybrid’s interior is beautifully designed and packed with high-end materials. Leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and power seat adjustments come standard. Though the car has back seats, they are best reserved as a package shelf or for children on extremely short trips. The LC’s large doors and low roof make it difficult to enter and exit the back seat, and installing car seats in the rear can be a real hassle. Semi-aniline leather upholstery is available, along with a heated steering wheel and sport seats with suede upholstery.
Technology
The 2024 LC comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen running wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard tech features include Amazon Alexa, navigation, HD radio, SiriusXM radio, Bluetooth, 12 speakers, and more. Lexus offers a Mark Levinson sound system. The automaker’s recently updated infotainment software is head and shoulders above its previous interface. The new setup is easy to use, more colorful, more responsive, and less distracting while driving.
Safety
The 2024 Lexus LC Hybrid comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and more. A head-up display is available.
The LC has not received crash-test ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), likely due to its relatively small production numbers and the high costs involved in crashing luxury cars.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, the base 2024 Lexus LC Hybrid starts at $103,100. Lexus offers a Bespoke edition car that opens up a range of customization options, starting at $106,300.
