What’s New for the 2024 Audi RS 3
The RS 3 is largely unchanged for 2024; however, there are some minor updates, including new matte carbon interior trim as standard equipment. If you select the RS Design Package, it now includes new red interior stitching.
Design
The RS 3 is the high-performance variant of the Audi A3. The RS version stands out with an aggressive front-end design and muscular wheel arches to frame up a track that's 2 inches wider track than the A3's. The single available trim level comes standard with 19-inch wheels.
An available Black Optics package includes a black Audi rings logo, black badging, and dark 19-inch alloy wheels. You can also select a Carbon Package, which adds carbon mirror housings, a pronounced carbon rear spoiler, and carbon side sill inlays. It’s also available with an all-black roof and an upgraded RS sport exhaust system with black exhaust tips.
Powertrain
The 2024 Audi RS 3 is powered by a unique turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, producing 401 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
The RS 3 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph, which can be increased to 180 mph with the optional Dynamic Plus package. EPA estimates for fuel economy are 19 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. This powertrain requires premium fuel.
In addition to the potent powertrain, the RS 3 comes equipped with a standard adaptive suspension system with damper control, an RS torque splitter, performance brakes, and high-performance tires.
Interior
The interior of the 2024 Audi RS 3 is driver-focused and features aggressively bolstered front seats with standard leather upholstery. The rear seats are best suited for children or short trips, and the trunk has just 8.3 cubic feet of space, but luckily the rear seats fold down for added storage. Standard features in the RS 3 include push-button start, tri-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and remote keyless entry.
Technology
The 2024 RS 3 comes standard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. Other standard tech features include a 10-speaker audio system, wireless device charging, and satellite radio. Optional upgrades include a Wi-Fi hotspot, a built-in navigation system, and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
Safety
A number of standard driver-assistance features can be found on the RS 3, such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. Available driver-assistance features include a head-up display, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
