Expert review
The best hybrid sedan under $40,000.
It's easy to hit 40 miles per gallon in a big sedan with three other people. Sophisticated gas-electric hybrid systems make this possible on larger cars without sacrificing comfort or space. But now, even in the non-premium segment, luxury is a selling point. Among midsize hybrid cars, Hyundai has made the absolute best. The 2020 Sonata Hybrid totes impressive fuel economy and technology, it drips with design, and it soaks in refinement. If this sounds like an advertisement, go see one in person.

What owners say
Fully loaded with Luxury features for a low price. Loving it.
March 30, 2024I had the hybrid with the Limited option package, had everything and more. I did Lyft with this vehicle and never went a day without a compliment about the look, ride and features of the car. Beautiful car and ride
July 28, 2023Its lovely. I really like it and has more features than I expected. The bluelink app is also great. There are great things you can do on the app to manage the car remotely. Great job Hyndai!
